"Through the Eyes of a Child" Golf Outing
Friday, June 6th, 2003
Devil’s Ridge Golf Course, Oxford, Michigan

Next years Golf Outing has been schedule for Friday, June 11th, 2004
at Devil’s Ridge Golf Club

Our 1st annual “Through the Eyes of a Child” Golf Outing was blessed with a perfect day from the weather gods! The morning sun was rising in the East and displayed a beautiful view of the course, the trees and greens were shimmering with bits of moisture, while the manicured tees and holes were anxiously awaiting the arrival of golfers.

Devil’s Ridge Golf Club and their employees were readily awaiting our arrival. After the golfers registered, some started the day practicing their shots on the open range, while others joined Christie and Kathie Beale for the beginning round of the putting contest. At 9:00 a.m., they all arrived at their carts with their clubs waiting patiently.

Terry Duvall monitored the second green for our Hole-In-One Cash prize of $10,000.00, while no one won the money, Jim Millar came the closest by six feet.

Christie and Kathie Beale then hosted the Vegas Hole on the 4th green, but no one was lucky enough to land their ball within the seven foot circle around the hole.

John Armstrong and I were off to host the second Vegas Hole on the 16th green. While we were on our way, we manage to stop and take some pictures of the teams, greens and surrounding scenery, and we came across a snapping turtle hitching a ride on one of the carts.

Scott Carzoli was the biggest winner of the day winning the Putting and Closest to the Pin contests all while having a stiff and sore neck. I hope Scott was able to ease his pain when he won an hour massage, donated by Dimitriou Chiropratic Clinic and Regina Paige, then he can enjoy another round of golf donated by Brentwood Golf & Country Club in White Lake. Scott also was the lucky drawing winner of the Golf Towel Underwear.

Jason Belhart won the Longest Drive contest and received a gift certificate donated by Oakland Yard Athletics. Jordan Rossiter won the Most Accurate Drive contest and he received a gift certificate to golf at A-Ga-Ming Golf Resort in Kewadin, Michigan, donated by A-Ga-Ming..

Team Beale, (Mike Beale, Jordan Rossiter, Brian Kwit, Larry Riley), won two rounds of the Team Skins contest, team Lear, (Scott Carzoli, Pat Dailey, Jeff Babisz, Norm Willis), won a round and team Advanced Assembly Solutions #1, (Kevin Danielson, Paul Santi, Jeff Anderson, Eric Petterson), won a round. All of the teams donated their winnings to the foundation. Thanks Guys!

Tod Kelly won the drawing for the Hand Made Driver donated by Dave Dohring.

Steve Nolan, Glenn Millar, and Don Corey won Alexandra Beale Foundation Golf Shirts.

Tom Dawson won the Mud Weasel donated by D-n-R Golf & Sports, Russell and Diane Sheroski.

Larry Riley won the Childrens Golf Book donated by Excel Publishing and Susan Greene, along with the childs Train Set donated by Ned Hoff.

Mark Burrows, Chris Belhart, and Paul Santi won Michigan State, University of Michigan, and Lions Checkers games, respectively, donated by Century Sales Associates, Pro Shop Merchandise and Tournament Prizes - Charlie Wiles.

Greg Peterman won the gift certificate donated by Pro Golf Discount in Canton.

Jon Belhart won a gift certificate for Devil’s Ridge Golf Club, donated by Greg Peterman.

1st place went to team Advanced Assembly Solutions, # 1, Kevin Danielson, Paul Santi, Jeff Anderson, Eric Petterman. They each received a gift certificate for 18 holes of golf for four and carts, (each valued at $200.00), donated by Devil’s Ridge Golf Club.

All throughout the day, Rick Fleming and Devil’s Ridge Golf Club proved to be a wonderful host and we enjoyed a fabulous dinner of Steak and Chicken! Magnificent! Everyone truly had a wonderful day and they all said that they would be back for next years outing.

Thank's to Everyone!
